About Us

The Peninsula Rose Society was created in 1955 to give rose-lovers in the San Francisco Peninsula Area an opportunity to meet and share their enthusiasm for roses and rose growing with one another and with the public.

PRS is a non-profit organization whose mission is to educate both its members and the public on the cultivation and exhibition of roses.  The Society’s Consulting Rosarians have presented numerous educational programs on various aspects of rose growing.

The Peninsula Rose Society is dedicated to volunteer activities in the local community, including public and private rose consultations, rose pruning demonstrations and pruning roses at local veterans’ hospitals, cemeteries, and other public and private locations.
