Dear PRS Members,
It is election time! Not just for our country and our state, but for the PRS as well. In October, the nominating committee will be contacting members to see who might be willing to step into a new role. Jobs are both small and larger, but all are fun and connect you more with your society! I encourage everyone to think strongly about taking up a new role for the PRS! We will present the slate at our October Membership Meeting and will then vote in November and install officers at our December holiday event. This year is moving along so quickly!
Also consider attending the NCNH Regional Meeting – this is our Rose District Meeting, and it will be in Emeryville this year, so much closer than usual. There are interesting talks, a silent auction, and of course, a rose show – see details later in the newsletter.
And speaking of rose shows, ours is already taking shape for 2025. As stated, this show takes everyone in the PRS to get involved to make it a success. Please review the 2024 Rose Show chairman’s report and recommended changes, and the progress to date on getting volunteers for the 2025 Rose Show on May 4th. Now is your chance to help shape the 2025 Show and Sale and think about being a volunteer. The goal is to simplify the show and make it more fun and less stressful.
