Karen Flores, our Membership Chair, and arranger extraordinaire, was announced as the winner for the American Rose Society Bronze Medal at our December 7th Zoom Meeting. This award is based on service to the local society, the Peninsula Rose Society.

Karen has been our Membership Chair and helped us grow significantly. She worked to get new members for PRS as well as the American Rose Society under our special 2021 arrangement honoring people who “stuck with us” during the pandemic and the transition to Zoom meetings in 2020. She has been a great arranger and teacher to those of us learning flower arranging.

One of the most popular programs in-person was when Karen and her mom made holiday arrangements, and certainly the past two years her holiday video Zoom presentations with supplies from PRS have been great experiences. During our last May public shows she had wonderful audience participation arranging sessions that had whole families making small take-home arrangements. Thank you, Karen, for being so supportive and helpful to PRS.
